Supermarket Aldi is slashing the cost of two of its most popular summer drinks ahead of Coronation celebrations. Shoppers can pick up a bottle of Costellore Prosecco Spumante DOC for just £4.99 (down from £6.49) while Pimm’s alternative Austin’s has been reduced to £6.99 (down from £7.49).
Aldi’s Prosecco DOC is the ideal summertime tipple and the Money Saving Expert taste test panel agrees; calling out the fizz for its ‘lightly balanced’ and ‘more-ish’ qualities, the £4.99 bottle landed top place of the team’s ‘Cheap Prosecco Taste Test’ this week, beating the likes of M&S (£8) and Waitrose (£7.99).
While the classic British Austin’s is synonymous with summer when served with lemonade, fresh mint leaves, cucumber, oranges and strawberries. A true street party staple, Aldi’s bargain offer means shoppers can save an incredible 57% compared to Pimm’s!
But with the supermarket predicting Brits will drink 1.4 million glasses of Austin’s this week, shoppers better be quick: offers are valid while stocks last.
