Aldi has unveiled a soup-endous Carrot, Parsnip and Apple Soup recipe ahead of Halloween. Fit to feed four, this is perfect for those looking for a comforting autumnal dish or for those wanting to balance out all the trick-or-treat sweets. All ingredients included in the recipe are available to purchase in-store now.  

Packed with carrots, parsnips, and apples, this creamy and vibrant soup is bursting with goodness. The butternut squash gives the soup a distinct silkiness, whilst the double cream adds a layer of indulgence and the apple an unexpected sweetness. The effortlessly warming effects of this soup can be felt instantly, making it ideal for those heading out on a cold Halloween night. Scattered with fresh parsley and sunshine seeds, the goodness is endless.  

Shoppers can complete the look with Aldi’s gourd-eous Pumpkin Ceramic Casserole Dish (£19.99). This robust and easy to use stoneware hot pot is perfect for whipping up a nutritious soup. Better yet, its unique shape replicates a real-life pumpkin. Available to pre-order online from 2nd October and in-store and online from 9th October. 


  • 350g Carrots, £0.24
  • 300g Parsnips, £0.49
  •  2 x Medium Onions, £0.55 
  • 1 x Large Baking Apple, £0.49
  • 3 x Cloves Garlic, £0.79 
  • 2 x Tsp Paprika, £0.59 
  • 2 x Vegetable Stock Cubes, £0.59 
  • 60g Fresh Parsley, £0.55 


  • 60ml Olive Oil, £3.45 
  • Sea Salt, £0.99 
  • Black Pepper, £0.99 
  • 1 x Litre Boiling Water 


  • Gently sauté the onion in the olive oil in a saucepan until softened, but not browned. 
  • Add the parsnips and carrots. 
  • Pour in the boiling water, crumble in the stock cubes, and add the paprika. 
  • Bring back to the boil, cover and simmer. 
  • Peel and core the apple, chop the flesh finely and add to the soup. 
  • Cook for 40 minutes until tender. 
  • Liquidise, season with some salt and pepper, then stir in the cream. 
  • Prior to serving, scatter some chopped parsley.
