Sweet-toothed Aldi fans will be delighted as the supermarket introduces a new flavour to its popular County Cream range. Aldi’s Ballycastle Raspberry Ripple (£7.49, 70cl) will land in stores from 13th March – just in time for Mother’s Day.

The perfect tipple for all the berry special mothers out there, this delicious take on a British classic dessert, Eton Mess, is sure to go down a treat. A combination of double cream, lusciously sweet raspberry and rich vanilla flavours creates an indulgently smooth treat, also perfect for gifting.  

What’s more, at just £7.49, shoppers can save a whopping 56% compared to Baileys Eton Mess Irish Cream:

The latest addition to the Ballycastle range can be enjoyed neat, over ice, or as part of this delicious creamy cocktail:

Raspberry Ripple Delight

Ingredients:

  • 70ml Ballycastle Raspberry Ripple County Cream
  • 25ml Stefanoff Vodka
  • 20ml fresh orange juice
  • 50g fresh raspberries
  • Ice cubes
  • Raspberries and orange rind to decorate

Method:

  1. Mash the raspberries with the fresh orange juice and put the pulp through a strainer (remember to discard the seeds). Put the puree to one side.
  2. Put the County cream and the vodka in a cocktail shaker with some ice and shake well.
  3. Strain into a coupe glass then swirl over the raspberry puree and serve decorated with some raspberries and orange rind.

Try it on its own, over ice cream or cakes, or as part of an indulgent cocktail, such as the one below:

Lucky Irish Cream Tail

Ingredients:

  • 70ml Specially Selected Luxury Edition Irish Cream Liqueur
  • 30ml Cassario Black Spiced Rum
  • 400ml Water
  • 60g Sugar
  • 60g The Pantry Cocoa Powder

Method:

  1. In a small saucepan, boil 200ml of water then remove from heat and add The Pantry Cocoa Powder and sugar
  2. Stir to dissolve and then add the remaining 200ml cup of water
  3. Once cooled, add the cream liqueur and rum to the mixture and leave to infuse
  4. After both spirits have successfully infused, strain the liquid through a coffee filter to remove any fine particles and pour into a glass of your choice once you are happy with the flavour

Aldi’s Ballycastle Raspberry Ripple County Cream is available in stores and on Click & Collect from 13th March and the Specially Selected Irish Cream is in stores now.
