GO BIG AND GO HOME! ALDI WINS BEST VALUE BIG BBQ BASKET

• Aldi beat Sainsbury’s, Asda, Tesco and Morrison’s to claim first place

Supermarket Aldi has been crowned as the most affordable supermarket for a big BBQ shop[1] – with its meat-based BBQ feast for two to ten guests costing just £38.52. That’s 10% cheaper (£3.74) than its closest rival Sainsbury’s.

The report, produced by money.co.uk, analysed 22 popular barbecue foods across six UK supermarkets, calculating the average basket price.

The news comes as Aldi launches its Raising The Barbeque hub offering recipes, hints and tips from expert grillers Mike Reid and Judy Joo.

Some items shoppers might find in their BBQ basket include Aldi’s Specially Selected The Best Ever Burger (£2.69, 340g), or Aldi’s award winning Specially Selected Hot Dogs Jalapeno & Monterey Jack Cheese (£1.99, 400g). With highlights of some of the grill-iant barbeque meats on offer below:
