4-year-old Aldi super-fan Ronnie had a big birthday surprise when a certain cheeky carrot arrived at his party. After sharing a video on TikTok for his love of all things Aldi[1], the adorable fan caught Kevin’s attention. And now, the supermarket’s beloved Kevin the Carrot has given Ronnie a birthday surprise by rocking up at his front door.

Not only this, but the Aldi mascot came armed with an abundance of goodies including an Aldi staff name badge featuring Ronnie’s name, presents delivered in a special Aldi basket, balloons, hats and of course, a Cuthbert cake.
Social media is awash with praise (and tears) for the heartwarming stunt. One Facebook user commented: “What a cool wee dude. An Aldi birthday! How original and wonderful. Love it when companies go the extra mile for a smile”, while another said “Awe I love this ain’t no party like a Aldi party.”
Ronnie captured hearts on TikTok earlier this year after exclaiming his desire for a birthday party at his local Aldi. In the adorable TikTok video, Ronnie can be seen asking to have three birthdays: “One at my home, one at pre-school, and one at Aldi!’” To which his mum asks: “why do you want that?” Which he cheerily responds with: “because Aldi is the best!”
Shoppers can pick up birthday party essentials including the must have Cuthbert Cake in Aldi stores now.
