THE CHRISTMAS CATCH OF THE DAY! ALDI’S SMOKED SALMON FINNISHES FIRST IN CHANNEL 4’S BLIND TASTE TEST

Supermarket Aldi took the top spot in the premier episode of Channel 4’s new show, Luxury Christmas for Less, where its Specially Selected Islay Whiskey Infused Smoked Scottish Salmon was voted the tastiest in a blind taste test – and at just £2.99 it was also revealed as the cheapest!

Aldi’s 100% Scottish sourced salmon beat Waitrose, M&S, Tesco and Lidl to claim first place, with the testers praising it for its flavour and were stunned at its value for money, saying that they “thought it would cost more than £2.99″ after tasting it.

The gently smoked salmon is infused with Aldi’s very own Glen Marnoch Malt Whisky and is sure to add an extra Christmas spirit to this festive season. With this catch shoppers can are sure to impress when hosting parties, as this tender fish will make the perfect canapé or a starter.

Aldi’s Specially Selected Islay Whiskey Infused Smoked Scottish Salmon (£2.99, 100g) will be available in stores and online from 10^th December.
