OUT OF THIS WORLD! ALDI LAUNCHES LIMITED EDITION SOLAR AND ECLIPSE GINS FOR SUMMER SOLSTICE

Aldi has announced the launch of two brand new Specialbuy tipples as part of its multi award winning gin range[1], Haysmiths. The deliciously celestial Elements by Haymith’s Eclipse Gin and Solar Gin (£14.99 each for 70cl) are available in store and online from the 10^th June, just in time for this year’s Summer Solstice, and have been produced as a Limited Edition batch, meaning once they’re gone, they’re gone!  

According to Folk traditions, Summer Solstice (21^st June) is the most magical time for herbs and botanicals to bloom, as – like the sun, which is at its peak on the longest day of the year – plants are at their most powerful.

The solar ‘fire’ of the sun brings life to earth, and Aldi’s NEW Elements by Haysmith’s Solar Gin (£14.99 for 70cl) is the ultimate celebration of that. Crafted especially for those that believe gin should be enjoyed during the light of day, Aldi’s Solar Gin uses only the most exceptional botanicals. From Juniper and grapefruit peel, to rose petals and lavender, these delightfully floral flavours are accentuated by notes of orange peel to create a dignified gin that is sweet and punchy.

Gin-fluenced by the mystery of darkness, NEW Elements by Haysmith’s Eclipse Gin (£14.99 for 70cl) combines juniper and schezuan pepper, to take tasters on a journey through a Summer Solstice evening. This night in particular, is said to be when the veil between the Worlds is at its thinnest, and fairies can be seen frolicking, making mischief, and dancing in merriment.  What’s more – this is great for Dads this Father’s Day.

Whether you believe that or not, this gin is best enjoyed under the light and energy of the moon with a dash of chilled tonic and a cucumber garnish, this wonderfully intriguing tipple offers a pleasant, peppery punch with each sip.

Whether it’s soaking up the energy of the sun, or sipping cocktails with friends on a moonlit night, Aldi’s new out of this world gin offering is set to have shoppers seeing stars this summer.

The Elements gins are two of five new Specialbuys spirits joining Aldi’s shelves this June – just in time for Father’s Day! Also included in the range are premium whiskies: Glen Marnoch 12-Year-Old Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky (£19.99) which recently won a Gold award at the International Spirits Challenge,and Glen Orrin 3-Year-Old Single Grain Ale Cask Whisky (£14.99) as well as a returning fan favourite; Aldi’s award-winning Fletcher’s LBV Port in Gift Tube (£9.99).
