Aldi reveals transformable jacket as new research uncovers the nation’s bizarre bag for life habits
Britain’s biggest discounter is partnering with Deliveroo to enable shoppers to order Aldi products via the Deliveroo app, bringing great value on-demand groceries delivered to customers across the UK.
Modelled on Aldi’s successful partnerships with DoorDash, Deliveroo’s parent company, in the United States and Australia, Deliveroo Riders will pick, pack and deliver orders directly from stores. This will allow Aldi colleagues to focus on keeping stores running smoothly for customers.
It will be the only rapid delivery service available from a discount supermarket in the UK.
Aldi has begun handling fruit and vegetables at its Bardon Distribution Centre in Leicestershire, as the UK’s largest automated warehouse moves into its next phase of operation. The first pallets of produce, including ginger and avocados, were delivered to the site on Wednesday 16th September, with the first outbound pallet the following day.
Aldi is helping students access more fresh fruit and veg this Freshers Week by giving away £5,000 in shopping vouchers.
