TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR ALDI’S MOTHER’S DAY FLOWERS COMPETITION (THE “COMPETITION”)

This page tells you the terms on which you may enter the Competition (the “Terms”).
ALDI is running the Competition to give one mother, or motherly figure, a bouquet of flowers every month for a year.
Please read these Terms and the associated Privacy Policy carefully before you enter the Competition as they will govern your entry to the Competition. By entering the Competition, you confirm your acceptance of these Terms.

- The Competition’s promoter is ALDI Stores Limited (“ALDI”). We are a company registered in England and Wales under company number 02321869. Our registered office is at Holly Lane, Atherstone, Warwickshire, CV9 2SQ. Our VAT number is GB813053468.

HOW TO ENTER THE COMPETITION
- To enter the Competition, you must:
- Send an e-mail to MothersDayCompetition@aldi.co.uk including:
- your full name;
- your nearest ALDI store;
- your email address; and
- a short reason why the person you have nominated deserves to win.
- Entries can be submitted from 00:01 AM on Wednesday 11th March 2026 to 11:59 PM on Friday 10th April 2026.
- Entries received after 11:59 PM on Friday 10th April 2026 are automatically disqualified.
- Entrants acknowledge that other entrants may have submitted ideas and concepts that may be similar to their entry, and that they will not be entitled to any compensation or right to negotiate with ALDI over such matters.
- Entrants warrant that their entries are their own original creation and have not been copied and/or reposted from any other persons.
- In the event of any dispute regarding the winners, the decision of ALDI is final, and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.
- Entries must not contain material that:
- is inappropriate, offensive, indecent, obscene, hateful, defamatory, derogatory or anything similar;
- promotes irresponsible or excessive drinking; or
- may promote bigotry, racism, hatred or harm against any group or individual or that may promote discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity or age.

THE PRIZE
- ALDI’s independent judges will decide the winner of the Competition. The decision will be made entirely at the judges’ discretion, based on the reasons given in the Competition entries.
- The chosen winner will win the prize, which consists of one bouquet of ALDI flowers per month for one year (12 bouquets of ALDI flowers in total) (the “Prize”).
- The Prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, and no cash alternative will be offered.
- ALDI reserves the right in its absolute discretion to substitute another prize of similar or greater value.
- ALDI must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation ALDI will send the surname and county of the winner to anyone who emails MothersDayCompetition@aldi.co.uk or writes to Aldi Stores Limited, Holly Lane, Atherstone, Warwickshire, CV9 2SQ (enclosing a self-addressed envelope) within one month after the closing date of the Competition.
- If you object to any or all of your surname and county being published or made available, please contact ALDI at MothersDayCompetition@aldi.co.uk. In such circumstances, ALDI must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
- ALDI uses reasonable care in sourcing, handling and delivering flowers. However, due to the perishable nature of flowers and factors outside Aldi’s control (including growing conditions, transportation, storage after delivery and environmental factors), Aldi does not guarantee the freshness, longevity, appearance or quality of the Prize supplied.
- Except as expressly stated in these Terms, all warranties, conditions and representations relating to the freshness, quality, condition or fitness for purpose of the Prize (whether express or implied) are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law.
- ALDI shall not be liable for any deterioration in quality, wilting or loss occurring after delivery, nor for any indirect or consequential loss arising from the condition of the Prize.
RESTRICTIONS ON ENTRY
- Entries are open to residents of Great Britain only (excluding Northern Ireland). This is a child-friendly competition, however entries on behalf of minors must be submitted by someone aged 18 or over.
- This Competition is not open to:
- ALDI’s employees and their immediate families (such as children, spouses, siblings, aunts, uncles and grandparents); or
- employees, officers or agents of any companies associated with the Competition.
- No more than one entry may be made per person. Anyone found to be creating or using multiple email accounts to enter the Competition will be ineligible to enter the Competition.
- Use of a false name or email address, or the provision of any other untruthful, inaccurate or misleading information, will result in disqualification from the Competition.
- Internet access required.
- You may only enter the Competition using an email account that you control.
- Any attempt to tamper or interfere with the entry process will result in disqualification from the Competition.
- ALDI will not accept Competition entries that are:
- automatically generated by computer;
- completed by third parties or in bulk;
- illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or copied; or
- a false name or address, or the provision of any other untruthful, inaccurate or misleading information.
- ALDI may remove entries from the Competition at any time if it believes that such entry has been made in breach of these Terms or is otherwise not in the spirit of the Competition.
CONTACTING THE WINNER
- ALDI will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner. ALDI will attempt to contact the winner by the email address used to enter the Competition on or before 17th April 2026.
- The winner must respond within one week of notification to claim their Prize and to confirm a Great Britain address for delivery of the Prize.
- ALDI reserves the right to retract the Prize offer if the winner cannot reasonably be contacted by ALDI within one week of ALDI’s first attempt to do so. In that case, ALDI will select an alternative winner from the valid entries received before the closing date.
- If the winner fails to accept delivery of the Prize at the agreed delivery time or location (including where no authorised person is available to receive the delivery), ALDI shall not be liable for any loss, damage, deterioration, delay or additional costs arising as a result.
- In such circumstances, ALDI may, at its option:
(a) leave the Prize at the delivery location;
(b) return the Prize to ALDI’s premises; or
(c) arrange re-delivery at the winner’s cost.
- ALDI shall have no responsibility for the condition of the Prize following a missed delivery.
DATA PROTECTION AND PUBLICITY
- Insofar as ALDI becomes a controller of any personal data relating to entrants, any such personal data will be held and/or processed in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and for the purposes of the current Competition only. The details of ALDI’S privacy policy including details on how to exercise any rights under the data protection legislation can be found at www.aldi.co.uk/privacy
- Subject to clause 14 above, no personal data of entrants held and/or processed by ALDI will be disclosed to a third party without the data subject’s prior consent, other than is absolutely necessary so as to fulfil the terms of the Competition, in which case such processing will be subject to the necessary lawful basis under data protection legislation.
- You should not submit any personal data that is not personal to and/or relates specifically to you. You hereby warrant that the information which you submit and/or distribute will not infringe the intellectual property or any other rights of any third party, and will not contain anything which is defamatory, obscene, indecent, harassing or threatening.
- By entering this Competition, you hereby warrant that all information submitted by you is true, current and complete.
OWNERSHIP AND PUBLICATION OF COMPETITION ENTRIES AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
- The winner may be required to take part in publicity accompanying or resulting from this Competition. By entering this Competition, you hereby assign to ALDI, and waive your moral rights in, the copyright and all other intellectual property rights whatsoever in your entry and confirm that you have no rights in any promotional or advertising material or similar which arises out of, or is in connection, with this Competition.
OUR LIABILITY TO YOU
- Except where prohibited, entrants agree that:
- any and all claims brought by them in relation to this Competition, and any consequential judgments or awards, shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Competition and
- under no circumstances will entrants be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrants hereby waive all rights to claim, indirect, punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages otherwise increased. Subject to any liability arising as a result of its fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, ALDI’s liability for claims related to this Competition is limited to a maximum of three thousand pounds.
GENERAL
- Discretion: Where these Terms refer to the exercise of any discretion by ALDI, such discretion shall be absolute and no correspondence shall be entered into regarding any associated decisions. ALDI reserves the right to refuse or disqualify any entry or remove or replace a winner if ALDI believes there to have been a breach of these Terms.
- Privacy: Any personal data which we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by ALDI in accordance with the ALDI Customer Privacy Policy: https://www.aldi.co.uk/privacy/how-we-use-your-personal-data-general-site. Please read this policy carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it.
- Events beyond ALDI’s control: Events may occur that render the Competition itself or the selection of winners impractical due to reasons beyond ALDI’s control. ALDI may, at our discretion, make such variations or amendments to the Competition as we feel are necessary as a result of such events.
- Cancellation of the Competition: While ALDI will use every effort to ensure the Competition is open until the closing date, ALDI reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition in whole or in part at any time. If you have already entered the Competition by that point, we will notify you of the change via the e-mail address which you supply to us when you enter the Competition. We will endeavour to give seven days’ notice of such a cancellation, termination, modification or suspension. If this is not possible, we shall give you as much notice as we reasonably can.
- Entire Agreement: These Terms (together with the documents referred to in them) constitute the entire agreement between you and ALDI in relation to your entry to the Competition and supersede and extinguish all previous agreements in respect of the Competition.
- Other promotions: Any other promotions run by ALDI will be governed by their own separate terms and conditions.
- Applicable Law: These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction to settle any such dispute or claim.
