TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR ALDI’S FATHER’S DAY GIVEAWAY (THE “Giveaway”)

This page tells you the terms on which you may enter the Giveaway (the “Terms”).
ALDI is running a Father’s Day giveaway to give away 50 emergency boxes of treats to fathers or fatherly figures.
Please read these Terms and the associated Privacy Notice carefully before you enter the Giveaway as they will govern your entry to the Giveaway. By entering the Giveaway, you confirm your acceptance of these Terms.

How to Enter the Giveaway
3. To enter the Giveaway, you must:
a) Send an e-mail to SOSService@aldi.co.uk, including:
i) your full name;
ii) your email address; and
b) If you are within the first 50 people to email, you will be contacted by Aldi to provide your home address for prize delivery purposes.

The Prize
4. A total of 50 boxes will be sent out on a first come, first served basis, so shoppers are encouraged to act quickly.
5. The chosen winners will win the prize, which consists of one Sock ‘SOS’ box containing a card to personalise, a bar of Aldi’s own-label Moser Roth chocolate and a pair of Aldi-themed socks.
6. The prize will be organised by Aldi’s PR Agency (Citypress) and will be delivered to each winner by Royal Mail.
Restrictions on Entry
7. Entries are open to residents of Great Britain (not Northern Ireland). This is a child-friendly giveaway, however entries on behalf of minors must be submitted by someone aged 18 or over.
8. This Giveaway is not open to:
a) ALDI’s employees and their immediate families (such as children, spouses, siblings, aunts, uncles and grandparents); or
b) employees, officers or agents of any companies associated with the Giveaway.
9. No more than one entry may be made per person. Anyone found to be creating or using multiple email accounts to enter the Giveaway will be ineligible to enter the Giveaway.
10. The Giveaway commences at 00:01 in London on 04/06/2025 and closes at 23:59 in London on 12/06/2025.
11. Use of a false name or email address, or the provision of any other untruthful, inaccurate or misleading information, will result in disqualification from the Giveaway.
12. You may only enter the Giveaway using an email account that you control.
13. Any attempt to tamper or interfere with the entry process will result in disqualification from the Giveaway.
14. Entries made using results generated by a script, macro or the use of automated devices will be void.
15. ALDI may remove entries from the Giveaway at any time if it believes that such entry has been made in breach of these Terms or is otherwise not in the spirit of the Giveaway.
Contacting the Winners
16. Winners will be chosen based on the first 50 entries received. Where multiple entries are received from different entrants at the same time, ALDI will select the first ones, and its decision will be final. ALDI will attempt to contact the winners by or before 12/06/2025.
17. ALDI reserves the right to retract the prize offer if the winners contacted do not provide their home delivery address by 11.59pm on 13/06/2025 of ALDI’s first attempt to do so. In that case, the prize will be withdrawn completely.
18. The prize is not transferable to another individual and no cash or other alternatives will be offered.
Our Liability to You
19. If ALDI fails to comply with these Terms, it will be responsible for the loss or damage which you suffer which is a foreseeable result of its breach of the Terms or its negligence. However, ALDI will not be responsible for loss or damage which is not foreseeable or which is outside of ALDI’s reasonable control.
20. No responsibility or liability will be accepted by ALDI for entries which are not received, received after the maximum number of entries has been received, or are lost in transmission for any reason. Proof of sending or transmission will not be accepted as proof of entry. Corrupted, damaged, unintelligible, illegible, inaudible or incomplete entries will be invalid.
General
21. Discretion: Where these Terms refer to the exercise of any discretion by ALDI, such discretion shall be absolute and no correspondence shall be entered into regarding any associated decisions. ALDI reserves the right to refuse or disqualify any entry or remove or replace a winner if ALDI believes there to have been a breach of these Terms.
22. Privacy: Insofar as the Promoter becomes a controller of any personal data relating to entrants, any such personal data will be held and/or processed in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and for the purposes of the current competition only. The details of the Promoter’s privacy notice including details on how to exercise any rights under the data protection legislation can be found at www.aldi.co.uk/privacy.
23. Subject to paragraph 22 above, no personal data of entrants held and/or processed by the Promoter will be disclosed to a third party without the data subject’s prior consent, other than is absolutely necessary so as to fulfil the terms of the competition, in which case such processing will be subject to the necessary lawful basis under data protection legislation.
24. You should not submit any personal data that is not personal to and/or relates specifically to you. You hereby warrant that the information which you submit and/or distribute will not infringe the intellectual property or any other rights of any third party, and will not contain anything which is defamatory, obscene, indecent, harassing or threatening.
25. By entering this competition, you hereby warrant that all information submitted by you is true, current and complete.
26. Events beyond ALDI’s control: Events may occur that render the Giveaway itself or the selection of winners impractical due to reasons beyond ALDI’s control. ALDI may, at our discretion, make such variations or amendments to the Giveaway as we feel are necessary as a result of such events.
27. Cancellation of the Giveaway: While ALDI will use every effort to ensure the Giveaway is open until the closing date, ALDI reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Giveaway in whole or in part at any time. If you have already entered the Giveaway by that point, we will notify you of the change via the e-mail address which you supply to us when you enter the Giveaway. We will endeavour to give seven days’ notice of such a cancellation, termination, modification or suspension. If this is not possible, we shall give you as much notice as we reasonably can.
28. Entire Agreement: These Terms (together with the documents referred to in them) constitute the entire agreement between you and ALDI in relation to your entry to the Giveaway and supersede and extinguish all previous agreements in respect of the Giveaway.
29. Other promotions: Any other promotions run by ALDI will be governed by their own separate terms and conditions.
30. Applicable Law: These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction to settle any such dispute or claim.
