TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR ALDI’S THEY SCORE, YOU SCORE (THE “Competition”)

This page tells you the terms on which you may enter the Competition (the “Terms”).
ALDI is launching a competition to demonstrate its support for the England and Wales teams during the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 tournament and to reimburse shoppers who, while paying for their shop at ALDI, miss out on watching their team score a goal.
Please read these Terms and the associated Privacy Notice carefully before you enter the Competition as they will govern your entry to the Competition. By entering the Competition, you confirm your acceptance of these Terms.
Information About Us
1. The Competition ’s promoter is ALDI Stores Limited (“ALDI”). We are a company registered in England and Wales under company number 02321869. Our registered office is at Holly Lane, Atherstone, Warwickshire, CV9 2SQ. Our VAT number is GB813053468.

How to Enter the Competition
3. To enter the Competition, you must:
a) Send an e-mail to MissedAGoal@aldi.co.uk including:
i) your ALDI receipt showing the purchase was within the same minute that a Lioness scores a goal for England, or a Dragon scores for Wales.

The Prize
4. ALDI will select the first two entrants per goal.
5. Each winner will receive the value of their shop up to £100 in ALDI vouchers to spend in any UK ALDI store (“Prize”).
6. The Prize will be sent to the email address used to enter the Competition. This will be in the form of a digital voucher.
Restrictions on Entry
7. Entries are open to residents of Great Britain (excluding Northern Ireland). This is a child-friendly Competition, however entries on behalf of minors must be submitted by someone aged 18 or over.
8. This Competition is not open to:
a) ALDI’s employees and their immediate families (such as children, spouses, siblings, aunts, uncles and grandparents); or
b) employees, officers or agents of any companies associated with the Competition.
9. No more than one entry may be made per person. Anyone found to be creating or using multiple email accounts to enter the Competition will be ineligible to enter the Competition.
10. The Competition commences at 00:01AM in London on 02.07.2025 and closes at 23:59PM in London on 27.07.2025 with the last weeks winners contacted by 01.08.2025.
11. Use of a false name or email address, or the provision of any other untruthful, inaccurate or misleading information, will result in disqualification from the Competition.
12. You may only enter the Competition using an email account that you control.
13. Any attempt to tamper or interfere with the entry process will result in disqualification from the Competition.
14. Entries made using results generated by a script, macro or the use of automated devices will be void.
15. ALDI may remove entries from the Competition at any time if it believes that such entry has been made in breach of these Terms or is otherwise not in the spirit of the Competition.
Contacting the Winners
16. Winners will be chosen based on the first two entries per goal. Where multiple entries are received from different entrants at the same time, ALDI will select the first ones as received by email transmission time, and its decision will be final.
17. ALDI reserves the right to retract the prize offer if the winners contacted do not respond within one week of ALDI’s first attempt to do so. In that case, the prize will be withdrawn completely.
18. The prize is not transferable to another individual and no cash or other alternatives will be offered.
19. The Promoter must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation the Promoter will send the surname and county of the winner[s] to anyone who writes to Aldi Stores Limited, Holly Lane, Atherstone, Warwickshire, CV9 2SQ (enclosing a self-addressed envelope) within one month after the closing date of the competition.
20. If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact the Promoter https://customerservice.aldi.co.uk/contact or call us on 0800 042 0800, in such circumstances, the Promoter must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
Our Liability to You
21. Except in the circumstance where ALDI commits fraud or ALDI’s negligence causes death or personal injury, if ALDI otherwise fails to comply with these Terms, it shall only be responsible for the loss or damage which you suffer which is a foreseeable result of ALDI’s breach of the Terms or its negligence. However, ALDI will not be responsible for loss or damage which is not foreseeable or which is outside of ALDI’s reasonable control.
22. No responsibility or liability will be accepted by ALDI for entries which are not received, received after the maximum number of entries has been received, or are lost in transmission for any reason. Proof of sending or transmission will not be accepted as proof of entry. Corrupted, damaged, unintelligible, illegible, inaudible or incomplete entries will be invalid.
General
23. Discretion: Where these Terms refer to the exercise of any discretion by ALDI, such discretion shall be absolute and no correspondence shall be entered into regarding any associated decisions. ALDI reserves the right to refuse or disqualify any entry or remove or replace a winner if ALDI believes there to have been a breach of these Terms.
24. Privacy: Insofar as the Promoter becomes a controller of any personal data relating to entrants, any such personal data will be held and/or processed in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and for the purposes of the current competition only. The details of the Promoter’s privacy notice including details on how to exercise any rights under the data protection legislation can be found at www.aldi.co.uk/privacy.
25. Subject to paragraphs 19 and 24 above, no personal data of entrants held and/or processed by the Promoter will be disclosed to a third party without the data subject’s prior consent, other than is absolutely necessary so as to fulfil the terms of the competition, in which case such processing will be subject to the necessary lawful basis under data protection legislation.
26. You should not submit any personal data that is not personal to and/or relates specifically to you. You hereby warrant that the information which you submit and/or distribute will not infringe the intellectual property or any other rights of any third party, and will not contain anything which is defamatory, obscene, indecent, harassing or threatening.

28. Events beyond ALDI’s control: Events may occur that render the Competition itself or the selection of winners impractical due to reasons beyond ALDI’s control. ALDI may, at our discretion, make such variations or amendments to the Competition as we feel are necessary as a result of such events.
29. Cancellation of the Competition: While ALDI will use every effort to ensure the Competition is open until the closing date, ALDI reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition in whole or in part at any time. If you have already entered the Competition by that point, we will notify you of the change via the e-mail address which you supply to us when you enter the Competition. We will endeavour to give seven days’ notice of such a cancellation, termination, modification or suspension. If this is not possible, we shall give you as much notice as we reasonably can.
30. Entire Agreement: These Terms (together with the documents referred to in them) constitute the entire agreement between you and ALDI in relation to your entry to the Competition and supersede and extinguish all previous agreements in respect of the Competition.
31. Other promotions: Any other promotions run by ALDI will be governed by their own separate terms and conditions.
32. Applicable Law: These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction to settle any such dispute or claim.
