ALDI BECOMES FIRST SUPERMARKET TO PAY COLLEAGUES AT LEAST £12 PER HOUR
7 December, 2023- Aldi is the first supermarket to pay all store and warehouse colleagues at least £12.00 an hour nationally, and £13.55 within the M25
- Pay rates rise further for Store Assistants to £12.95 nationally, and £13.85 within the M25, based on length of service
- In addition to the rise for hourly paid colleagues, all Aldi’s salaried colleagues will also benefit from a pay increase
- As well as receiving the highest hourly rates in the sector, Aldi colleagues remain the only supermarket workers to be paid for breaks in shifts
