Aldi is celebrating a significant milestone in its partnership with surplus food and household products redistributor, Company Shop Group.
In the past year, Britain’s fourth-largest supermarket has now donated an impressive two and a half million meals from its Regional Distribution Centres across the UK through Company Shop Group, saving an estimated 1,000 tonnes of food from going to waste.

Aldi is trialling the use of parcel lockers outside a selection of its UK stores.
Customers will be able to collect and return online orders from other retailers at select Aldi stores, thanks to the supermarket’s new partnership with parcel locker provider InPost.
Aldi is trialling double toilet rolls in a bid to reduce plastic waste, as well as the number of lorries needed to deliver them to stores.
The UK’s fourth-largest supermarket has doubled the volume of sheets per roll on select own-brand lines which will in turn reduce the size of the packaging.
